On The 28th, I took a trip to the city
With my friend Sarah, who is very pretty.
We made plans to go sight see
And maybe go on a shopping spree.
We brought up the idea of going to sing at a karaoke place,
Even though both of us can't sing with a straight face.
We walked all over from 32nd to 60th street
And after a while we decided to go for a treat.
We went out to lunch at a burger stand
And eat some fries with our hands.
We are full and very tired and think of going to sing or not,
And we both think we ought
To go to the city another time after the holidays when it's not as packed
Because it's not good to go when it's crowded, that's a fact
I guess going to karaoke can wait
But going to the city was very great!
Sleepless nights, I am so worried
Hopefully the snow has melted because it flurried
I never thought this day would come
As I very rigorously chew some gum
I am nervous as can be
Oh my gosh, I might pee
It is finally my turn to take the test
I really hope I can do my best
He checks my passport to check if I'm legit
I can finally graduate from my permit
I start driving and I'm sort of shaking
And thank gosh it doesn't impair my decision making
As I get close to the end, a sense of relief comes upon me
"Go inside and get your license." said he
I screamed for joy and thanked him so much
Who knew practicing so much could come in clutch?
Studying for the SAT is no fun
I'd rather be playing in the sun
Taking this test will help me go to college
But first I need to upgrade my knowledge
What are these functions?
My brain must be having a malfunction!
I go to a tutor twice a week
I hope I don't turn into a math geek
Phew, I am thankful to be over with this test
The SAT is quite the pest
Now I must wait till I get my score
Hopefully it will be one the colleges adore
I almost forgot I have a subject test to take
Thinking about it is giving me a stomach ache
After November, all these tests will be over
Then I will be as lucky as a four leaf clover
This month I have been reading a lot
While I'm at home and in school being taught
I have bought this book before the summer
It has taken me a while to finish which is a bummer
The Girl Who Played With Fire
People who say this book is boring is a liar
It is taking me so very long to read
I wish I could read at a faster speed
This book is filled with lots of suspense
But some if it doesn't make much sense
After a while, I have finally finished this
It has been a book I don't want to dismiss
I can't wait to read the next in the series
And hear about Lisbeth Salander's theories
